Since we have heard the good news and learned the truth about Jesus, we must learn to "throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception." At some point in your life if you decide to follow Jesus you must stop making excuses and instead you must make a decisive decision to break away from your current and past behaviors and attitudes that are inconsistent with living a righteous and holy life in Jesus Christ. Sin is deceptive, so if you continue to live a life of sin without repentance you will forfeit eternal life and spin an eternity in hell.
