It's important to understand that the truth behind this parable is really about relationship with Jesus Christ. We keep our oil burning when we consistently seek the face of God through prayer, worship, praise, reading the bible, and seeking Him first in all things. When we stay connected to God we won't run out of oil and we will run into opportunities to use our oil to compel all people to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior because His kingdom is at hand.
