That’s why the gospel is called the good news! Instead of death God gives us grace, His unmerited favor. Eternal life is not something we can earn; it is a gift freely given by God. Eternal life refers to the abundant life that begins when you call His name and accept Jesus as your Savior and eternal life continues forever, because we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and now, we have a relationship with God. So, we must continue to do what David did in Psalms 27:7, all throughout our day and for the rest of our life, we must pray and call on the name of the Lord and ask Him for mercy.
